Why be Catholic?

Enclosed are a few Bible versus that point to the truth. Take sometime and read through them. It’s amazing that between James, Timothy and 1 Peter and 2 Peter from the New Testament, with the help of the Holy Spirit I was able to pull scripture versus that allude to the one true Church that Christ founded – The Catholic Church. Don’t take my word for it; just read his word below:

Salvation:

Avoid profane and silly myths. Train yourself for devotion, for, while physical training is of limited value, devotion is valuable in every respect, since it holds a promise of life both for the present and for the future. This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance.

For this we toil and struggle, 4 because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the savior of all, especially of those who believe. (1 Timothy 4:7-10)

Salvation with Faith alone? Or Work alone?

What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him?
If a brother or sister has nothing to wear and has no food for the day, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well," but you do not give them the necessities of the body, what good is it? So also faith of itself, if it does not have works, is dead. (James 2:14-17)

Do you want proof, you ignoramus, that faith without works is useless?
Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered his son Isaac upon the altar? You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by the works. Thus the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness," and he was called "the friend of God." See how a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. And in the same way, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she welcomed the messengers and sent them out by a different route? For just as a body without a spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead. (James 2: 20-26)

Now if you invoke as Father him who judges impartially according to each one's works, conduct yourselves with reverence during the time of your sojourning, realizing that you were ransomed from your futile conduct, handed on by your ancestors, not with perishable things like silver or gold but with the precious blood of Christ as of a spotless unblemished lamb. (1 Peter 1:17-19)

Temptation:

Blessed is the man who perseveres in temptation, for when he has been proved he will receive the crown of life that he promised to those who love him.
No one experiencing temptation should say, "I am being tempted by God"; for God is not subject to temptation to evil, and he himself tempts no one.
Rather, each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.
Then desire conceives and brings forth sin, and when sin reaches maturity it gives birth to death. (James 1:12-15)

Sacrament of the Sick:

Is anyone among you sick? 6 He should summon the presbyters of the church, and they should pray over him and anoint (him) with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven. (James 5:14-15)

Confession:

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful. (James 5:16)

One cannot avoid civic duty or disregard Governmental Authority:

Be subject to every human institution for the Lord's sake, whether it be to the king as supreme or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the approval of those who do good. For it is the will of God that by doing good you may silence the ignorance of foolish people. Be free, yet without using freedom as a pretext for evil, but as slaves of God. Give honor to all, love the community, fear God, honor the king. (1 Peter 2:13-17)

Defending the Faith:

Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope, but do it with gentleness and reverence, keeping your conscience clear, so that, when you are maligned, those who defame your good conduct in Christ may themselves be put to shame. (1 Peter 3: 15-16)

Purgatory (Place between Hell and Heaven):

For Christ also suffered 5 for sins once, the righteous for the sake of the unrighteous, that he might lead you to God. Put to death in the flesh, he was brought to life in the spirit.
In it he also went to preach to the spirits in prison, (Jesus did not go to Hell, but to Purgatory to speak to the spirits, because the Gates of Heaven had not be opened prior to Christ’s death and resurrection) who had once been disobedient while God patiently waited in the days of Noah during the building of the ark, in which a few persons, eight in all, were saved through water. (1 Peter 3: 18-20)

For this is why the gospel was preached even to the dead 2 that, though condemned in the flesh in human estimation, they might live in the spirit in the estimation of God. (1 Peter4: 6)

Papacy: Pope and Rome - (Rome sweet Home):

The chosen one at Babylon (Babylon is a code-word for Rome.) sends you greeting, as does Mark, my son. (1 Peter 5: 13)

“The Church here in Babylon, united with you by God’s election, sends you her greeting, and so does my son, Mark” (1 Pet. 5:13, Knox). (Babylon is a code-word for Rome.)

Church Authority – Magisterium (Personal Interpretation of Scriptures):

Know this first of all, that there is no prophecy of scripture that is a matter of personal interpretation, for no prophecy ever came through human will; but rather human beings moved by the Holy Spirit spoke under the influence of God.(2 Peter 1: 20-21)

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ on behalf of his body, which is the church, of which I am a minister in accordance with God's stewardship given to me to bring to completion for you the word of God, the mystery hidden from ages and from generations past. (1 Colossians 1:24)

The Church:

But if I should be delayed, you should know how to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth. (1 Timothy 3:15)

Why Women cannot be Priest:

A woman must receive instruction silently and under complete control.
I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man. 4 She must be quiet.
For Adam was formed first, then Eve.
Further, Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and transgressed.
But she will be saved through motherhood, provided women persevere in faith and love and holiness, with self-control. (1 Timothy 2: 11-15)
Also, during Mass the consecration when the Priest raises the bread to heaven in person of Christ he says “This is my body” Because Jesus’ was a male, it would be hard to see a woman saying “This is my body”.
